We manage to sleep in a bit this morning, getting up at around 8.15. The camper bed is nice and cosy and warm, so we managed to miss the cold morning this morning. After we have s bit of breakfast and coffee, we venture into the town centre and have a pic taken with the Cunnamalla Fella. A huge statue of a country man, sitting on a swag. There are a lot of tourists doing the same as us, getting the pic taken, and going to the information centre to find out what is around.
We take a walk about the town, and make a couple of purchases, one, a fan heater, to warm up the camper and the second a larger battery charger so we can charge the battery that is in the back of the ute. The one that Bob bought with us is a baby one, and is just not doing enough to keep the battery charged. We also stopped at the local butcher, and buy some steak for tea.
We take a drive around the town and then just out of town, we find a good area to let the dogs out and have a run around, and comfort stop.
On returning to the town, we decide that we will join the que for getting petrol at the service station. The line up for fuel is due to the service station only having one deisel bowser working, and of course the line seems longer that it actually is, because almost every vehicle has a caravan or camper trailer attached to it. So we join the line up, and wait our turn, and as we get to the bowser we sort of jump the que, because as the guy with the van gets onto his side of the bowser, we are able to use the other side, so I dive into the shop and pay for the fuel as soon as Bob had finished filling the ute up. So as it turns out, the guy was only waiting for a bout a min by the time he actually got himself to the pump. We go back to the camp and watch a couple of movies.
Earlier in the morning, Bob makes some enquiries as to whether I can get my covid vaccination here. We are told to ring the hospital, and we are told that they are having a clinic today and tomorrow, and they will ring us back with a time. We wait till afer lunch and Bob rings again, and was told that, things are running behind, but that I am on the list, and they will ring back.
Mid afternoon, the call comes and my time is 4.30 at the hospital. So at 4.15, we head up to the hospital, and wait. There are about 5 folks ahead of me, so I tell Bob to go back to the camp and I will call him when I am done. It was just after 6pm when I leave the hospital after getting my vaccine, call Bob and wait for him to pick me up.
We again make use of the camp kitchen for tea, and cook our steak and vegies there.
Doggies are happy and are being very well behaved. They just love being in the ute, and are only to keen to get back onto it when we let them off. Both Dogs now have dog coats, and they seem to like having them on them at night.
